Inglemoor Stays Perfect 12-0 at Valhalla

Vikings Beat Rough Riders 7-2

Friday night was Inglemoor's last home game for the 2010 season.  On the line was a perfect 11-0 record at Valhalla and the pride of Senior Night. The opponents were the Roosevelt Roughriders who had won 2 of 3.

The Vikings starter and birthday boy Dustin Doucette pitched a dominant 1st frame striking out 2. The Vikings responded offensively plating 2 runs in the bottom of the inning. Garrett Vandiver and Craig Jacobson earned Walks and soon ended up on 2nd & 3rd. Ethan Yeo remained the RBI machine with a Sac Fly to score Vandy.  Scott Meyers then singled with 2 outs to plate an aggressive Jacobson.

The Vikings then erupted for 5 runs in the 3rd with RBI single by Yeo and a bases loaded triple from centerfielder Marc Dickerson. Doucette threw 3 more innings for Inglemoor allowing 2 runs but the Teddies never really threatened after that. Senior Connor Eggerman threw a perfect 5th inning for the Viks inducing 3 soft ground balls.  Tyler Duringer then made his 2010 debut in the 6th to a rousing cheer - and he too pitched a scoreless inning striking out the last Roosevelt hitter. Brandon Cook then closed the door in the 7th rolling a 4-6-3 DP and finishing it off with a K.   It was a grand night at Valhalla where the Vikings ended the 2010 campaign an amazing 12-0 with the 7-2 victory tonight. Congrats Seniors - Way to Own the House !!!
