Inglemoor Fights to Victory Vikings Beat Falcons 7-6 In a must-win game for both teams, another typical Inglmeoor-Woodinville match came down to the 7th. but the Vikings move on with the 7-6 victory. Emmett Maki scored in the 2nd after hitting a single then coming home on a clutch 2-out double by Conor Savage. Woodinville responded with a pair in the 3rd. Inglemoor answered with 4 in the bottom of the frame. Craig Jacobson singled and later scored on a fielders choice by Ethan Yeo. Emmett Maki came back to the plate and delivered again with a two run single scoring Scott Meyers and pinch runner Blake Wilson. Savage knocked in another run with a fielders choice and the Viks were up 5-2. Woodinville chipped away for 2 more runs over the next two innings to be down 5-4. In the 5th Scott Meyers singled and stole 2nd in time for Emmett Maki's 3rd hit on the day scoring Meyers easily on the play. Maki was also called upon in relief of Viking starter Spencer Trautman who pitched well into the 5th once again for Inglemoor. Maki kept Woodinville at bay but Woodinville managed to tie the game with 2 unearned runs in the 6th. I the bottom of the inning Captain Craig Jacobson took a hard inside fastball and wore it earning 1st base the hard way. Mitchell Gunsolus promptly drove him to 3rd with a single then Captain Ethan Yeo delivered as he has all season with an RBI single up the middle to give the Vikings the lead. Inglemoor turned the ball over to their closer Dustin Doucette in the 7th. The 'Deuce' was throwing well and stopped the Falcons to end the game for his 3th Save of the year. The win moves Inglemoor into another must-win contest with Bothell Tuesday 4 PM at Woodinville HS. Go Viks !!
