Inglemoor Bests Bainbridge

Inglemoor invited the Bainbridge Island Spartan's of the Metro 3A to Valhalla on Saturday afternoon.  Erick Raynes took the hill for the Viks and proved very effective keeping the Spartans hitless through 3. However, in the 4th the Spartans got to the right hander scoring twice. The Vikings responded in the bottom of the 4th when Scott Meyers doubled and scored on Sac Fly by AJ Babauta.  Obadiah Taylor followed with a blast over the right field wall knocking in Ethan Yeo who had walked. Taylor's 2 run home run put the Vikings ahead 3-2.

Ryan McGee came in relief of Raynes and threw well allowing just 1 run and 1 hit over two frames. The Vikings sophomore SS Mitchell Gunsolus led the 5th off getting HBP followed by a Logan Moen double.  Jordan Sui walked to load the bases. Bainbridg nearly escaped the mess getting two outs but Ethan Yeo clutched up pounding a 1-0 pitch over the centerfielder's head to score 3 big runs. AJ Babauta quickly singled to score Yeo and Babauta came in on a Colby Cashman 2-out single giving the Viks an 8-2 lead. In the 6th the Vikings scored once more when Gunsolus tripled and came home on a Jordan Sui ground ball. Tyler Duringer pitched the 7th for Inglemoor sealing the victory for the Vikings - their 3rd out of 4 games on the week. Next up is Crest Division leader Skyline on Tuesday at 3:45.
