   Vikings Fall to Falcons 2-1

The Woodinville Falcons came to Vallhalla tonight in a match up with the Viks.  Inglemoor won the 1st meeting of the year 10-4 at Woodinville.... a win tonight would propell the Vikings into 2nd place in the division as Bothell lost earlier in the evening the LW.

Inglemoor opened with their Super Soph Obadiah Taylor. Woodinville matched with senior Brent Derooy. The Falcons got off to a 1-0 lead on a Murphy HR (after he should have been rung up on a called 3rd strike) Inglemoor tied the score in the 3rd when Sammy Johnston singled with 2 outs to score Erick Raynes who had laced a hit to lead the inning off. However, that would be all the scoring for the home team.... despite out hitting the Falcons on the night.

Woodinville countered with another run in the 4th on the second of only two hits allowed by Taylor on the evening. The inning ended on a diving DP turned in by Logan Moen at the hot corner.....the web gem of the night! The Viks tried to muster the Offense with both Moen and Sammy Johnston having a pair of hits on the night but it just wasn't met to be. Woodinville retired the final 6 Viking hitters to preserve the victory. A hard fought and well played game by both clubs that leaves the Vikings with hopes a rubber match is somewhere in the near future.....
